5G, without changing a line of code
Part of our fleet runs on French 5G lines. You keep the same HTTP and SOCKS5 gateway and the same per-gigabyte billing, and gain latency and headroom.
What 5G really adds to a mobile proxy
Precision matters here, because many vendors blur the arguments. 5G does not make your IP "more mobile" or "more residential": it already is on 4G. It brings three measurable things.
- Lower latency. Useful when you chain thousands of HTTP requests and response time dominates the total cost.
- More bandwidth per line. Comfortable for large downloads, heavy page captures or video streams during ad verification.
- Better behaviour under load. When several concurrent connections share one line, 5G absorbs peaks more gracefully.
4G or 5G: how to choose
Our advice: if you are starting out, begin with a shared 4G plan, whose value for money is hard to beat for validating a need. If you are industrialising and latency has become a factor, move to a dedicated 5G phone. See the pricing page for both ranges.
| Criterion | 4G / 4G+ | 5G |
|---|---|---|
| IP reputation | French carrier mobile | French carrier mobile |
| Typical latency | 40 – 80 ms | 20 – 40 ms |
| Throughput per line | 20 – 60 Mbit/s | 60 – 150 Mbit/s |
| Best for | Monitoring, testing, light scrapers | Volume, many streams, heavy captures |
| Price with us | From $1.49 | Identical |
How is 5G shared?
5G lines are grouped in a dedicated pool with a least-loaded-first allocation strategy: the gateway picks the phone with the lightest usage at the moment you connect. There is nothing to configure. On dedicated plans you can reserve a specific 5G line when you order.
What does not change
The protocol, the tooling, the billing and the usage rules stay identical: HTTP (CONNECT) and SOCKS5, volume in gigabytes, billing in euros, lawful use only. If you are plugging in an existing HTTP client, the only things to change are the port and the credentials from your customer portal.

Questions fréquentes
Does 5G change anything for a proxy?
Yes, on two points: latency, lower than on 4G (often 20 to 40 ms against 40 to 80 ms), and the bandwidth available per line. The reputation of the address is identical: it remains a French carrier mobile IP.
Do I pay more for 5G?
No. 5G lines are part of our fleet and served on priority according to the available pool, at the same price as 4G. There is no "5G" option charged as an extra.
Are all your lines on 5G?
No. Part of the fleet runs 5G and the rest 4G+. The 5G pool is prioritised for dedicated Pro plans and for workloads with heavy concurrent streams.
Does my code need to handle 5G?
No change at all: you still speak HTTP or SOCKS5 to the same gateway. The radio technology is transparent to your code.
